"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
You obviously have some skill, but I suggest putting more into your images--instead of a figure or character simply standing in empty space, try to formulate backgrounds or use the negative space in some way that enhances your image. Simply sticking a character in the middle of a sheet of paper really detracts from the otherwise skillfully-rendered images you have on your gallery.
